Our Bistro Berlage is open seven days a week from 10am to 10pm, serving both lunch and dinner. In summer, we have a large terrace in front of the door as part of the Beursplein. Bistro Berlage is part of De Beurs van Berlage. De Beurs is not the newest ‘place to be’ in Amsterdam, but it is one of the most famous. Ever since 1903, the impressive Beurs has been a downright international hotspot. A dynamic place, in the middle of the city, where exciting things happen every day; congresses, events, parties, fairs, exhibitions and much more. They find their place in a building with an area of 16,000 m² and a capacity of up to 2,600 guests.
your role
You are the Bistro Berlage’s calling card and, together with the team, you ensure that guests feel welcome and receive guest-oriented service. It’s a job in which you will undoubtedly work hard, but also offers plenty of variety and challenge.
what do you bring?
- You are a team player, who does not leave work unfinished;
- Representative and service-oriented;
- Enthusiastic and cheerful;
- Affinity and experience in the hospitality industry;
- Social skills;
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
- Living in the Amsterdam area.
- Willing to work irregular hours and weekends.
this is what we offer
- Gross hourly wage at 18 years or older: €17.76 all-in per hour;
- Travel allowance of €20 per month (or a swap bike);
- Telephone allowance of €30 per month;
- A loyalty bonus, where your hourly rate increases the more you work;
- A recruitment bonus – for every additional friend you bring in, you will receive €1 over every hour worked by your friend in 12 months;
- Weekly payout – every Friday the hours worked the previous week are paid out. So you don’t have to wait until the end of each month for your salary;
- Opportunity to take various courses (Barista training, wine course, apprenticeship)
